Tomato Soup Cake

I love to be the adventurous type when it comes to recipes, its always good to try something new.  So when I ran across Tomato Soup Cake I thought “Why not!”  We had an interesting outcome, half the family loved it and the other half did not.  Fortunately, I loved it and really enjoyed it.  Take your family on an adventure and try something different.  I bet you will LOVE it!

Tomato Soup Cake

1 Spice cake mix
1 Can tomato soup
1/2 C water
2 eggs
8 oz. Cream cheese
2 T milk
1 tsp. Vanilla
4 C powdered sugar

Combine cake mix, soup, water and eggs. Beat until well mixed. You can make your own spice cake recipe but sometimes easy is good too. Pour into a prepared 12″ Dutch oven. Bake with 8 coals on the bottom and 16 coals on top. Bake 25 minutes or until a tooth pick comes out clean.

While baking, make the frosting with the remaining 4 ingredients. When the cake is done, remove the lid and allow the cake to cool. Frost with cream cheese frosting and enjoy!
