Coleslaw

Every great meal cooked in the outdoors needs some wonderful side dishes to round out the occasion.  I just happen to love coleslaw.  I think I could eat it every week, and I love trying to make it a little better every time.  It is so easy to make a fabulous slaw to complete your cookout and keep your family smiling.

Coleslaw

8 C Coleslaw mix or chopped cabbage
1/2 C Carrots, grated (if not already in your mix)
1 C Mayo
2 T White vinegar
1/4 C Sugar
1/2 – 1 tsp. Garlic Powder
Black pepper, celery seed, or dill to taste. (I really like dill)

Mix together mayo with the vinegar and spices. Pour over cabbage mixture and you are ready to serve. I like to let it sit for a couple of hours before serving to let the flavors marry a bit.  Try a couple of different options and see what you like the most!
