The Orion Cooker

Here at 3Guys it is all about the great outdoors. Most of the time it is about what to cook, but today it is about “how” to cook. My friend Matt lives in Arizona and is an avid backyard chef. Recently he told be about the Orion Cooker. It uses charcoal to produce convection heat for quick and easy cooking. You can smoke three racks of ribs in one hour and ten minutes and you have the ability to smoke six racks at a time! You can smoke chickens, turkeys, and anything else, including fish! Check out their website – I have to get one of these!

Orion Ribs

3 racks of pork ribs
Your favorite rub

Cover your ribs with a generous amount of rub. You can refrigerate your ribs to allow the seasoning to soak deep into the meat. Place the ribs on the rib-holders and lower into the cooker. Place the lid, add your match-light charcoal, light and walk away. In just over an hour you will have some of the best ribs ever!
