Monte Cristo Sandwiches
3 eggs
¼ cup milk
¼ tsp. salt
12 slices thick white bread
6 slices of ham
6 slices turkey
6 slices American cheese
Butter for frying
Strawberry jam (optional)
Powdered sugar (optional)
On your camp stove, heat a large skillet or griddle. While heating, mix eggs, milk and salt and whip together. Melt butter in pan, dip the bread quickly to coat in egg mixture and fry on hot griddle. When lightly browned on bottom, flip, and top with cheese and meat on six slices. Dip and cook the remaining six slices for tops, Make 6 sandwiches and serve with strawberry jam or powdered sugar.

This is my favorite breakfast of all time. Don’t even think about serving it without the strawberry jam either. It totally makes it! I’ve tried other jams too, but they just aren’t right. Great recipe!
