It’s Mother’s Day and mom wants something flavorful but light on her stomach. Enter Ranch Turkey Burgers! This simple recipe will make even the most die-hard hamburger fan give turkey burgers a second look. We made these for a neighborhood barbecue and they were a hit!
1lb ground turkey
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 Tbsp. parsley
1 egg
panko bread crumbs to taste
It’s time to get messy. Hand mix the turkey, onion powder, salt, garlic powder, and parsley. When mixed well, mix in the egg. Add panko bread crumbs until you reach the consistency that you prefer.
Grilling ground turkey can be a little tricky because the meat is so lean. When grilling, be sure to coat the grill rack (grates) with a light coating of olive oil to prevent sticking. This is easily done by dipping a paper towel into a small dish of olive oil and rubbing it on the rack. Pan frying is also an option, just be sure to use some non-stick spray, even on your cast iron.
Serve with your favorite hamburger sides.
