Fresh Grilled Trout

TroutGrill4

My dad taught me how to fish when I was just a lad.  I learned to love fishing and then to have fresh fish to eat for supper!  This is my favorite way to eat fresh trout, and I am sure that it will become one of your favorites too.

Ingredients

2 pounds fresh trout fillets
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon tabasco sauce
1 tablespoon lemon pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat your grill to about 375 degrees.
  • Now you create a tin foil pan to help with the grilling. That is done by taking about 18 inches of tin foil and folding up every side about an inch, then pinching the four corners to create a 1-inch deep pan. I do this on a cookie sheet for transportation to the grill!
  • Then take the fresh fish fillets and place them on the tin foil.
  • Mix the worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and tabasco sauce, then baste the fillets.
  • Now sprinkle the fillets with lemon pepper. I tend to use quite a bit!

  • Pull the tin foil pan off of the cookie sheet and place it on the grill rack. Grill for about 10 minutes or until you can see that the fish is done by checking it with a fork. Do not overcook, since the flavor is so much better when moist.

  • When done, pull the tin foil pan off of the grill – I put it back on the cookie sheet to get it back in the house and ready to eat!
    Serve with fresh squeezed lemon!
