When we were first introduced to a Brazilian Grill restaurant many years ago, we found that at the top of our list there was the grilled pineapple! We had never tried doing this before, but we have done it many times since!
This is a wonderful way to prepare and enjoy pineapple, and it is so simple that anyone can do it!
Ingredients:
1 Pineapple
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1 Gallon Zip Lock Bag
Instructions:
Pre-heat the grill to Medium – about 400 degrees
Cut the outer covering off of the pineapple
Then cut the pineapple right down the middle from top to bottom
Cut each half now from top to bottom creating four pieces
Remove the hard core center from each of the four pieces
Now cut into serving-size pieces
Put the brown sugar and cinnamon in the zip lock bag and shake it to combine the ingredients
Put one slice of the pineapple at a time in the bag and cover it with the sugar mixture then put it on a plate
After all of the pieces have been coated, just take them to the grill and place them on the rack
Let each side grill for about 5 minutes until that perfect golden-brown is found
