I made this sauce up one day and it was so good that I called it terrific. I mean, it is so amazingly good that I could probably eat it on shoe leather and it would be a treat! I served it over chicken, but I think you could use steak or pork chops as well. I think it would even go over salmon - just use your imagination and you will love it as well.
Ingredients
  • ¼ lb. bacon, diced
  • 4 tsp garlic
  • ½ C mushrooms, sliced
  • 10 shrimp, peeled and cut into thirds
  • 1⅓ C cream
  • ⅓ C milk
  • 2 T Marcella Cooking Wine
  • 1 tsp. chicken bullion
  • 2 tsp. Dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp. rosemary, fresh, chopped
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 T green onions, sliced
  • ⅓ C Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 oz Swiss cheese, grated
  • white pepper (to taste)
  • 6 Chicken Breasts, grilled
Instructions
  1. Place a cast iron sauce pan on your camp stove. Add bacon and cook until crisp. Add garlic and saute for a minute or two. Add mushrooms and cook to soften. Add shrimp and cook until just pink, Add all the other ingredients except chicken. Reduce and simmer while you grill the chicken.
  2. Serve sauce over chicken breasts. It is wonderful served with rice, potatoes or pasta.
